Alyssa Dass is a 12 year old native New Yorker who lives in Queens.
She's a 7th grader who attends the Ideal Montessori School in Jamaica. She loves to dance and has trained in Ballet and Jazz but her passion is for Indian dancing. She dances Bollywood, classical and Fusion styles of dance. This passion for dance landed her a spot on the Child Star portion at The Apollo theatre where she advanced to the next round.
She combined her love of STEM And Girl Scouts to lead her troop Robotics team to the finals at the Jacob Javits Center, and has been a Girl Scout for the past 7 years and truly believes in the Girl Scout philosophy of building confidence, character and courage.
Her favorite quote is "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others" by Ghandi and that is what Alyssa does. She volunteers many hours with some of her favorite organizations such as The Ronald McDonald House, Susan G Komen Foundation and The Stephen Siller Tunnel for Towers.
Unfortunately, she was bullied at an early age but it gave her the drive to create her own platform called"Diamond in the Rough" which helps girls build their self esteem and believe in themselves. The future is Unstoppable for this young lady!
