The Sisterhood at IJM Internationals IS REAL!!

Before I left Australia for IJM I was nervous. I didn’t know any of the girls in my age division at Internationals, and I wasn’t sure if they would understand my accent.

When we checked in to the Westin, there were so many girls arriving from all over the US and overseas. Everyone was really friendly and I felt so much better! Everywhere you went; the store, the elevator, hair and makeup, there was always someone new to meet.

Some of the girls in my age division taught me how to play patty cakes. When I went back to school after IJM, I showed all the kids in my class, and now we play it all the time! I also love playing it with my sister queen, Blake. She always teaches me new songs and dances.

A great opportunity to get to know your age division at Internationals is at the Pajama Party. Wear your cute pj’s and come along for some fun! We all got to play games and answer questions about ourselves, and then we had the gift exchange. Each girl brings a gift from their home state or region to give to another girl. It was a great way for me to learn about where my new friend’s were from.

When we went to Busch Gardens, I met even more new girls on the bus rides and throughout the day. The time goes so much faster when you have someone fun to talk to! Rehearsals and waiting backstage are also lots of fun. We all played games while we were waiting, and it’s a great chance to talk to the other girls.

If you are nervous or don’t know anyone at Internationals, don’t worry. You are guaranteed to make a lot of life long friends! I love seeing all of my IJM sister’s photos and posts on social media.  And with today’s technology, it is so easy to keep in touch… even if I am on the other side of the world!

One of the things that I LOVE to do is EAT!! My mum is always making me food because I never stop eating! When I travel overseas I enjoy trying the different foods, especially the candy. A lot of the foods that we have here in Australia are similar to what is available in the U.S, but there are some special foods that us Aussies love to eat that are hard to find anywhere else.

New York Trip 2016

My exciting trip to New York City began a couple days early when my mom and I decided to make it a "girls' trip" for just the two of us. So, after school that Friday, we hopped on a flight to NYC. I made sure that I did all of my homework on the plane so that the rest of my trip could be spent having fun... homework always comes first

Last fall I competed in a pageant I had done before and placed the same as the prior year.  It was a hard loss for me.  I had worked for a year and did no better and no worse.  I had to learn that it wasn't because I did poorly, but because I just wasn't what the judges were looking for that day.

Education

Education

When I was three, I remember my dad telling me the importance of going to college. You'll get a kick out of what I said back to him, "But Daddy, I'm not even in kindergarten yet!" (LOL.). Fast forward 16 years later, I am on track to preparing for my college journey and my dream career of becoming a broadcast journalist.

One Enchanted Evening

One Enchanted Evening

I was humbled to be invited to attend and upon arrival was greeted with open arms and pure graciousness.  As each attendee was brought to the front door, either by horse drawn carriage or limo, I was privileged to take a photo with each one.  Their smiles were so big and my heart was filled with joy.
