Pageant season is off to a great start as I traveled to my first state pageant in South Carolina-the North and South Carolina pageant. I had such a great time with my Sister Queens and all of our shenanigans. It was so much fun and the directors; Mama Cheryl and Ms. Nicole truly treated us like royalty. I was able to welcome our newly crowned Pre-Teens into the IJM family.
The following week I was off to Louisiana for my mission trip that I earned when I won Volunteer Service at Internationals. What a great experience this was! We stayed at a Bunker house with our IJM family. We got up early in the morning and headed to the Garden where we cleaned and planted broccoli, tea and vegetables. My big sister and I took on a heavy job as we loaded the barrel up with dirt and brought it up to lay new dirt for planting. I didn’t know I was that strong. : ) That was not it for our day. We then headed over to the Ronald McDonald House of New Orleans where we baked cookies and helped clean the House.
While there, I had the best seafood ever. I am now a lover of chargrilled oysters. Let’s not forget the Beignets from Café Du Monde. Anyone who knows me knows I love to eat, so I was in heaven.
As if that wasn't great enough, I was invited to be a speaker at a Girl Scout Board Meeting to talk about robotics. I got to share with them my experiences with competitive robotics and show them how our robot functions.
Can’t wait to share more of my adventures with y’all. Stay tuned.
